22nd September 2013MCM are a participant in the CAST Project, which has recently been part funded by the European Commission. CAST (CArbon-14 Source Terms) investigates the generation of carbon-14 from different waste forms including steels, zircaloy, ion-exchange resins and irradiated graphite. MCM are involved with the technical coordination of this project with NDA RWMD.

22nd May 2013Tara Beattie (Lewis) joined the MCM team based in the UK office. She studied at the Loughborough University Chemistry School obtaining her PhD in Environmental Radiochemistry. Technical areas of high competency include engineered barrier system performance, particularly their chemical evolution and radionuclide behaviour in complex environmental systems.
