Jake Kinghorn-Mills Joins MCM

MCM is pleased to announce that Jake Kinghorn-Mills joined the team on 2 April 2018 as part of his two-year, EU-sponsored, nuclear energy MSc.

After graduating from Cardiff University with a 1st class Physics degree.  Jake spend four years working on systems, testing and integration engineering in the defence sector.

With a desire to focus on the sustainable and safe disposal of nuclear waste, he was accepted onto the European Institute of Innovation & Technology-funded ‘European Master in Nuclear Energy’ programme in August 2016.

After training in nuclear physics, radiation protection, risk analysis and nuclear safety at KTH University, Stockholm, he went on to take part in a summer school at the Aspo Hard Rock Laboratory in Oskarshamn, Sweden and the Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France.

Having spent the last seven months studying in Paris, Jake is working towards completion of an MSc in Nuclear Engineering from KTH University and an MSc in Decommissioning & Waste Management from Universite Paris-Saclay in September 2018.

Jake will work towards his master thesis over the next 6 months and will gain experience of a range of MCM projects.
